Cupcakes seemed a trend years ago but is still a beloved dessert. Austin has plenty of places to enjoy cupcakes, and I’ve listed locally-owned places (in alphabetical order below) to grab a cupcake. Some are specifically cupcake shops and some are bakeries. I’ve included recommended flavors, and you’ll see, my go-to is usually anything with strawberries!

Zucchini Kill Bakery

Details: Vegan and gluten-free bakery with punk-rock theme

Recommended Flavor: Golden Mylk

Slightly outside of Austin, Whipped ATX has great cupcakes in Leander. They’re opening a second bakery within Austin, off of Anderson Mill, soon!
